Spanish Tourism and Business Exams
Telefónica, Endesa, Repsol YPF, Grupo Santander, Fundación MAPFRE, Prosegur y Grupo Calvo now recognize the DELE exam as the official accreditaion of an individual's level of spanish in their process of selection of possible candidates whose mother tongue is not Spanish.
These companies will be advising their non-native speakers that having this accreditation will help in their working relationship and future within these companies.
...their studies in the University oblige them to have a certificate of Spanish Proficiency to obtain more credits, especially Spanish majors...

...they know Spanish but do not have a certificate to prove it...
...they have studied Spanish but do not know your level of proficiency...
...they want a Spanish Language diploma recognised all over the world.
This accredits sufficient knowledge of the language to allow control in situations which require an elementary use of the language.
This accredits the neccessary knowledge of the language to allow communication in everyday situations which do not require specialized terms.
This which accredits an advanced knowledge of the language allowing communicaton in all situations requiring advanced use of the language and an understanding of Spanish culture . .
The examination for obtaining the DELEs ( Inicial, Básico , and Superior ) consists of five sections.
- reading comprehension
- written expression
- listening comprehension
- grammar and vocabulary
- oral expression
A grade of ?no apto? (unsatisfactory) on any one of the sections constitutes failure of the entire exam. All five sections must be retaken at a future date.
Over 20,000 people have taken the DELE exams in fifty countries and one hundred fifty cities throughout the world. The diplomas are recognized by official institutions of Spanish-speaking countries and, increasingly, by corporations, chambers of commerce, and educational institutions in the United States .
Several American universities award course credit for the diplomas or require them of Spanish majors.
Applicants must provide proof of citizenship in a country in which Spanish is not the official language (anyone with a United States passport is eligible).
Applicants for the Diploma Superior must be sixteen years of age or older. There is no minimum age requirement for the Certificado Inicial or the Diploma Básico.
One must take into account that these prices do not include the extra charge which some exam centres are entitled to apply in accordance with their constitution agreements. This additional charge may not in any case exceed 35% of the price assigned for each country for the Diploma in question.
